Customer Success stories
Customer: A leading financial services institution
One of the world's leading financial services institution installed HP's OpenView OS/390 and OS/400 management products to support their mainframes and AS/400's. After the products were evaluated a decision was made to purchase the HP OpenView products to replace their existing mainframe and AS/400 OEM management products. The OV OS/390 and OV OS/400 product agents have a "lightweight" design that allows customers to reclaim valuable CPU and disk storage that the OEM products required. The OpenView products provided sophisticated automation based on messages received, or monitoring commands issued from the OpenView Operations server. The installation and configuration, from test to production, of these products was completed in less than two weeks time. The OpenView server is monitoring over 300 critical system and application messages. The return on investment (ROI) is anticipated to be a 12-18 month period as the customer continues to roll out their implementation plan to their other locations.
Customer: A leading insurance & financial services institution
One of the largest and most respected insurance and financial services institutions in the world installed HP's OpenView OS/390 management product to support their large inventory of mainframes. After evaluating different vendor products a decision was made to purchase the HP OpenView OS/390 product to help manage all their mainframes with OpenView Operations. Using several management OpenView servers the products provided monitoring for more than 70 logical partitions (LPAR's) with over 500 templates on critical systems and application messages. OpenView Operations provided the "tool" consolidation for a single pane of glass for the customer operations center. The installation from test phase to full production was completed over a few months time. The return on investment (ROI) far exceeded the firm's expectations.
